A light and fiery horse of Rohan. After the loss of his original rider, Arod was given to Legolas and Gimli by Éomer. He served his new riders faithfully (since Legolas was often accompanied by Gimli) through Rohan, and the Paths of the Dead during the War of the Ring. Probably he bore Legolas in the Battle of Pelennor.
