He was the son of Vardamir Nólimon, and be was born in the year 192. He ruled for 148 years,and surrendered the sceptre in 590; he died in 603.

Númenórean, son of Vardamir and grandson of Elros Tar-Minyatur, brother of Vardilmë and Aulendil. His father refused the sceptre and passed it directly to Amandil. Tar-Amandil was however considered the 3rd King of Númenor. He was succeeded by his son Tar-Elendil. His original Adûnaic name was Ar-Aphanuzir?.
