Master, where can I learn how it is that in the Recent Changes list there appears in [ ] some text? : When you are editing a page there is a "Summary" field visible beneath the edit-window. Text in this field is displayed in the RecentChanges? within these [ ]... Thanks ... What shall we do about the background? Will it work? Of course, no hurry about it! Get well! However, I wanted to show you sth. and say that I would most wish to see our forum in one particular type (see the examples below). I know it will take time! But what's the rush? I know you are busy... but sometimes you do have a little free time... And I am ready to help with all that I can! I only wish the idea to be implemented as best as possible! Please, make a snapshot of your computer with the TW on the screen and add the pic to the description of this particular forum. Ugh?? Deal? Also, if you wish, do the same for the books-fora, making photos of the books-covers. I guess you are using a digital camera, which alloes to directly place the photo fromt he camera into the computer. If not, will you let me add pics I find on the net?... or some art work with the resp. explicit mentioning about the resp. Now...to business: :1/ In the Forum's SandBox I left the names of the Folders that should IMHO be present in the Forum. I haven't created them (except for this one! )nor have I transferred them to the Main Fora place on the Front Page of the Forum because I wanted to learn your opinion. In this place however, these Folders ... can we have them just the way the Helpdesk was introduced - without the word "Folder" in front but only the main name (i.e. The Hobbit; The LoTR etc.)? :: Sorry, but no, we can't have their names without the prefix "Folder" because they would "collide" with other - already existing - pages of the same name (as we can see with your example above, the Hobbit or The Hobbit are already taken) -- Walter You say "No" but the ones you created and entered on the Forum's Front page appear just the way I meant them to appear! : Yes, but see how I did it... :2/ a Q: Can the list of the main Fora be placed upon a background that I have made and can send it to you via e-mail? It's sort of an artwork, made BY ME!!! :P :D so no copy rights will anyone ever claim! This thing resembles a parchment with a title on it :"FORA". The idea is to place it on the Front page of the Forum and upon it to be placed the titles of those Folders that I spoke about above. The picture however is a cpt because thus I can keep its background transparent so that you can use it. In fact, it should be the main element on the front page of the Forum. :: Just send it and I'll see what I can do... -- Walter Forget it. It won't work. :Why not? :3/ So far there are three Folders in the Forum. But I have noticed that when you open such a folder, in the "Pages" - list the very same forum is enlisted. Why? It is not so in the main TW. There, I open a folder and there I find the list of pages within this particular folder but NOT the name of the folder itself! :: The name only appears if you type the name in the Folder page. See Wiki FAQ/How to make folders work -- Walter OK. :4/ and last (for now at least ) - the [[link][url=ThisWiki:FolderMembers]Folder Members] within the Forum gives no account for any pages, and so I provided a link to the main such folder of TW. Yet when I go the FolderFolders of the Forum, it says there are 29 pages! :-O ??? How come?? :: I think we should keep the member pages at the original place or else things will become confusing... -- Walter I am confused here.There are 29 member-pages in TW. When I am in the Forum-space and I hit "Members" (in the left main menu) there is no pages enlisted? :That's a little complicated because of the way the software handles this. The "normal" way would be to have two separate member-lists, one for the TolkienWiki, anotherone for the Forum. In this case we would have to make either double entries or redirection-pages for each member who participates in both.
