Vanyarin

The Quenya dialect of the Vanyar, conservative and a bit different of that of the Noldor, which we know as 'standard' Quenya.

Unlike Noldorin, Vanyarin preserved the sounds th, z, and ndy which have been simplified or mutated by the Noldor (cf. Thule/Sule, Aze/Are, Quendya/Quenya). The Vanyar also have adopted many words from the Valarin language, more than the Noldor or the Teleri, and incorporated them in their vocabulary. Examples are ezella 'green' and ulban 'blue'. The word ulban, as well as the name Aldudenie, suggest that the Vanyar allowed the sounds d and b, something that the Noldor didn't for their speech.
