Turambar

(Q. 'master of fate')

1.

The surname of Túrin, the Hero of the FirstAge. He used it in Brethil, and it was the reason why Nienor didn't recognise him. The Sindarin form was Turamarth.

2.

(III 397 – III 667; ruled since III 541)

Dúnadan, son of Tarostar Rómendacil I and 9th King of Gondor. He avenged his father's death, won some victories over the Easterlings and extended Gondor's eastern borders. He was succeeded by his son Atanatar I.
