Tol Sirion

An island in the river Sirion, it was the place in which Finrod built MinasTirith. After Finrod left it to go to Nargothrond, he left his nephew Orodreth in charge. Orodreth was driven out by Sauron, and that island was later re-named Tol-in-Gaurhoth, 'Isle of Werewolves'. After defeating Sauron, Luthien let free the captives and they buried Finrod on the hill-top of TolSirion.
