Peredhil

The Half-elven, Elrond and Elros, the sons of Eärendil and Elwing. Were given the favor of choosing their race by the Valar. Elrond chose Elf, Elros Man.

What appears interesting is that Elrond's children inherited the right to choose the race, whereas Elros' did not.
