Perun the God of Fire

Perun is a fire-god - of thunder and lightning - symbol of celestial fire; He brings rain clouds, storms and rains, though, which are source of water, symbol of celestial moist. Perun evokes rainfalls, irrigating soil, bringing fertility, but he also provokes thunder storms, hurricanes and hails, which cause disaster, destruction and death, and devour harvest. Perun gives nemesis - punishes the sinful, but benefacts the justful; with one hand He harms, with another helps, encourages. Perun is god of war, but in his name people also sign peace - treaties. He carries war victories, but also losses. As a fiery god, part of the fire's tetrinity (Svarog - Dazhdbog - Svarozhich - Perun), He is associated with the essential element FIRE.
