FAQ / Which race does Gollum belong to

There are three types of hobbitses and Gollum was an earlier type of the Stoor type of hobbit. He was the only one of his type left. Of course they didn't all look like him! He got mutated a little by the OneRing! The regular type of earlier Stoor thing would look more like a taller type of hobbit.
