Avallónë

Haven and city of the Eldar on TolEressëa, so named according to the Akallabêth, for it was of all the cities the nearest to Valinor. Easternmost of the UndyingLands. The tower of Avallónë is the first sight the mariner beholds when at last he drawns nigh to the UndyingLands over the leagues of the Sea.

From Avallónë came the seedling of Celeborn, the WhiteTree that grew in the midst of Eressëa, which in its turn was a seedling of Galathilion the Tree of Túna; the image of Telperion that Yavanna gave to the Eldar in the BlessedRealm. From Celeborn came the seed to the tree that Isildur brought out of Númenor. From that three came the seed that became the WhiteTree that grew before the King's house in MinasAnor.
